the time traveler's wife

days in alliston is relaxing and resting

i finally finished reading the time traveler's wife, which i've got it as a gift about two years ago. it was a mind-touching novel and kinda similar to the curious case of benjamin button; both stories are not real (well, as far as i know, those kind of people wouldn't exist, if they are please let me know) and kinda sad in the end. i heard it's been filmed and i'm excited to watch it this summer!

+ i took a picture of my book, mom's garden, when i took a picture of the time traveler's wife. i thought it looks alright with blue-ish purple flowers in the backyard :)

gradgrad

i know it's too too late to say,
but thank you guys who came out for the sheridan grad show <3
(and people who support us!) it was such an awesome show, happy and glorious moment. people who graduate with me have great talents and i know we all going to be enjoying our no-more-a-student life (but i heard some + people are planning to go back to school) doing whatever we want. it doesn't matter if the choice is not to be an illustrator. it can be a movie director, gallery artist, or whatever awesome being, because we have passion (and little bit of magic) for our life.

aww- i miss you guys already.

ninja doll

this is also one of the projects from YMF.
the project was to 'draw a person with a black turtleneck sweater'. I ended up thinking about a ninja, since they're wearing black all over. personally, i don't like turtleneck sweaters that much, so if people wear black turtleneck sweaters, i thought, they might have ninja blood somewhere deep inside of their mind. in order to show that, i thought matryoshka would be a nice idea, since ninja is the very inside of the dolls-

+ i submitted this for the official illustration t-shirts.
i don't know the result yet, (since people are voting now) but hopefully, my dolls can come to the life - well, on t-shirts.

what homo sapiens mean to you?

i've done this piece for YMF, a young artist group based on NY.
i wanted to show something complicated, unsolved human mind.
i used a ball point pen, and it took me some time to finish - my eyes got little tired after all, but i enjoyed while i was doing it :)

the birds and the bees show

the birds and the bees show was held in toronto about two weeks ago.
unfortunately, i couldn't come to the show, but they are selling artists' pieces for good. all the money they make goes for sheridan college illustration grad show. there are bunch of great pieces, so please take a look -

we need help

apparently, we've lost our funding from Kodak for the grad show.
it's really sad because we might not have our grad book or have a crappy version of grad book.Rosemary is helping us out selling cute prints, and Dani made a web page for donation.
please check those out!

heroes

i enjoyed watching heroes and decided to make a relationship map of characters for my info class. the project was making a avenue page for national post and i was pretty excited to do it till i realized that i was trying to vectorizing every characters in the show. i ended up to do 33 characters but i had to take some of the characters out, because there were no space for all those characters. i haven't watched volume 4 yet, but i think i'll watch it when all the episodes are done.

a baby bird

this was an assignment for world religion class.
the topic was 'my philosophical view of religion' and i painted a baby bird who's waiting his/her parents. my view of christianity is 'waiting'. like a little baby bird waits his parents even though the bird can't see if the parents coming, or has no idea when they're coming, but as a baby wants parents to be around and give love to him, just believe and wait till they come -
